Work In Progress

This January 09 issue of Women Writers is still a bit of a work in progress. I have a lot of excuses, but the main one is just that Fall 08 was a crazy, crazy semester and I didn't get my usual "day or two off" that it takes to get the website up and at 'em. Right now, we have the majority of the poetry, fiction, and book reviews pretty much 90% done. The scholarly stuff and any non-fiction that was sent my way have not been worked on at all. Today, I went in and edited some minor tweaks that needed to be done (put in the amazon book codes & played with a few other small fixes). I still need to pull out some Microsoft specific coding that messes with line heights and fonts in the ficiton & poetry, so if your work is looking wonky, that's why.

The idea was that it was early February and the January issue was still almost done. So I wanted to get the bulk of the issue published and do the small fixes that still need doing. If that explains something for you, then I am happy this blog is up here. That's the intent-- to get the word out of what the site is doing, right now.

Natasha will be posting book reviews here, as she gets them, so if you're someone who wants to be up on what books we've been sent, then you should probably "follow" or subscribe to our feed, over in the sidebar on the right--->.

This will, with any luck, eliminate the need for the flaky listserv which is always doing something weird. We may, at least for a while, keep backing it up to the list just to have another source of info.

You should be able to get in touch with me or Natasha quickly through this blog. If you have questions or comments, post them in the comments section.

Welcome to the blog! Now go read something good on the website!

First Post

This is a space for us to post books we have available for review, information about glitches related to the Women Writers website, personal details that are affecting the publication or whatever. Basically, it's our "authors'/editors' notes" to the world. Welcome, and let us know when/if you need info about various things.
